When I was a toddler back in 2003 and 2004, I recognized these everywhere in my neck of the woods. So there’s the nostalgic cred. Yes, my neck of the woods has a lot of old people. I rarely see the bigguns anymore; the elderly drive smaller *shivers* front wheel drive LeSabres with *shivers* V6s nowadays.

Also, the Brougham and Town Car the last of a dead breed: American Landyachts with “retro” interiors. And by retro, I mean basically unchanged since the late-’60s.

Below is a 1990 Brougham d’Elegance...

Well, red does pop out more than beige, but the last two pale in comparison to the 1920s estate homes. Don’t get me wrong, I love that the later cars had the personality of a ‘70s autobarge, but they certainly didn’t have the aesthetics of one.

I actually like these wheel. I'd still go with a smaller size myself but they look pretty great.

I agree. The 90-92 Brougham was an interesting blend of modern and vintage, a 1970s design with a few '90s touches. I think I still prefer the '89s with the quad headlamps and the Art Deco winged shields underneath though.

I've always seen that generation of Town Car as the final evolution of the knife edge look started on the '60s Continental, with the smooth flat sides and straight lines. There was an obvious evolution of Lincoln styling right up to that point, then it shifted to an entirely new aesthetic afterward. One of my uncles had a Cartier Edition one in the two tone grey when I was growing up, he kept it until he had to give up driving, and I have no idea what happened after that.
